1. No Doctor-Patient Relationship
This is the most critical clause for a clinical brand. It clarifies that simply reading your blog or buying a foam roller doesn’t make someone your patient.
- What to say: “The use of this website, including the purchase of recommended products or communication via contact forms, does not establish a formal doctor-patient relationship between you and Precision Performance. A professional relationship is only formed after a formal clinical intake and an in-person or scheduled telehealth evaluation.”
2. Medical Advice Disclaimer
You need to explicitly state that your product reviews are for educational purposes, not prescriptions.
- What to say: “All content, including text, graphics, and images, is for informational purposes only. It is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.”
3. Third-Party Links & Amazon Disclosure
Since you are sending people to Amazon, you must state that you don’t control what happens once they leave your site.
- What to say: “This website contains links to third-party websites (such as Amazon.com). Precision Performance does not monitor or control these websites and is not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or the quality of products purchased through them. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through these links.”
4. Limitation of Liability
This protects you if a patient uses a recommended tool incorrectly and gets hurt.
- What to say: “To the fullest extent permitted by law, Precision Performance shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of products recommended on this site. Users assume all risk associated with physical activity and the use of recovery equipment.”
5. Intellectual Property
Protect your clinic’s brand and the content you’ve written.
- What to say: “The logos, clinical notes, and original content on this website are the property of Precision Performance and may not be reproduced or used without express written consent.”
